Which slr camera?? Canon SX20 IS or Nikon D3000?

I'm looking into getting my first SLR camera. I think I've narrowed it down to the two mentioned above. Any suggestions??
All opinions appreciated! :)

The Canon SX20 is NOT a dSLR.

A dSLR is a camera beside a much larger sensor than a P&S camera (over fifteen times larger), uses interchangeable lenses and gives the user full control of the shutter speed and aperture when choosing an exposure. They also produce a lot smaller quantity noise due to the larger individual pixels.

The D3000 is a dSLR Source(s): proFotog
Definitely the D3000 If you are choosing between the two.
Better picture trait in both still and video, and more sturdy.
But out of all SLR cameras, I will manifestly choose the 60D In my budget range, and 5D Mark 2 As the best so far that can handle video and have a high resolution range. Source(s): Experience
