What is the better brand for digital SLR cameras?
Sony?
Canon?
Fujifilm?
and any others
Answers: Canon & Nikon are the top two. Source(s): Nion D40, D80, D1x, and currently D200
It is really about the models and you specific wants, not the specific manufacturer.
In general, photographers choose the camera base on the lens choices they have available to them. Canon and Nikon have the broadest but that does not denote that they are the best ( but they are very good).
Canon and Nikon are really the only manufacturer that offer a real professional smudge of cameras, lenses, and accessories. This does not mean though that you can not whip professional photos with other camera manufactures.
I recommend the following as okay as Canon and Nikon
Pentax
Olympus
Sony
Fuji ( if they ever come out with a new DSLR)
Sigma
and obviously Leica
Really its about your needs, not roughly speaking the brands.
Hope this helps
