Hah, the ol' CaNikon fanboys pop up once again.
Canon and Nikon are good brands, but don't forget Olympus, Pentax, and Sony. They have equally biddable cameras, and much better values. The argument that these companies have less gear available is not true, especially for Pentax since it can use adjectives Pentax lenses made since the 70's. All these companies have all the gear you requirement unless going into an ultra specialized field like mircrocope photography, astrophotography, etc.
The best point to do is not judge which camera you want by all the unnecessarily touted specs and numbers, but by going to a store, and picking them up yourself and trying them. This is the solitary way you can truly get a get the impression for the cameras. Try them all, see what you like! It's adjectives personal, I like Pentax, my friend likes Olympus, plenty of ancestors here certainly like Canon and Nikon. Sony have a good following as well.
Good luck!
i get one choice for you

Budget no problem? Nikon D3s $5,000 would be a start. How about lenses, a few more thousand should do.
But that is not you designed, is it. *sigh*
