What is the better picture slr camera Canon or Nikon?
im trying to settle an argument with my brother. i say canon because i hold a canon slr digital camera but i dont really know much about nikon...soooo help!

Answers: Depends on what you want to do...
Canon have nothing that can compare to the Nikon F6. Spec and tech wise that camera is probably the best 35mm picture slr ever made.
Now going back in time, both companies own gone back and forth with the 'best' camera. I love some of the elder Canon manual cameras, and Nikon ones. Now because I still use Nikon digitals, I'm using my older Nikons more than my antediluvian Canons, because I can use a 30 year old lens just fine on my Nikon D3. I convey a beat up Nikon F3HP in my purse along with my D3. Source(s): Personal use
thats like wise saying who makes better cars, Mercedes or BMW, anyone who owns a BMW is going to say BMW and anyone who drives a Mercedes is going to speak Mercedes,
same goes with cameras,
as far as flim slrs stir, theyre all pretty much equal since the image is capture on a third party film (instead of a digital sensor made by any nikon or canon)
